All Conference Goalie

Dalton had an amazing year in goal. He was 5th in state in our division and #1 in the playoff standings. While he may drive some folks nuts running out of the box, he is alot of fun to watch!!

Woodinville Lacrosse Division II Champions!!

It was a gorgeous day at Memorial Stadium where Woodinville Lacrosse played Sammamish lacrosse. Both teams were undefeated this season and I was really nervous, actually sick to my stomach, about the match up. As the boys were making their way down to the locker room there was a "lady" behind me who said to those around her, "should we boo?"!!! I was shocked and turned around and said, "Please don't!". Needless to say, Duke came back alittle later and told me we would have to move. I asked why and he said he could tell I was alittle "agitated". Me? Agitated?! Fine, we moved with my lax friends.
The game started and a bunch of Dalton's friends from school joined us. It was so sweet that the kids came downtown during Folk Life Festival to watch Dalton play. We cheered, screamed (or was that just me?), and jumped up & down watching the game.
Half time came with the score 6-5. We were ahead but not enough. The boys were calm, effective and played their game. The defense was amazing!! They can make or break Dalton's job. And what a job he did. Sammamish took 21 shots on goal & Dalton stopped 14. Whew!
Game ended Woodinville 10 Sammamish 7
Now we head into football tomorrow....

Are you feeling Lucky today?!

Lucky Workshop on the Go
I love this paper packet. It is perfect for masculine pictures and since my household is 2/3 male, this works for me. This also is great for outdoor pics, Boy Scouts, sports and yes, even feminine pics will work.
Not into scrapbooking? How about using this paper for wonderful cards? I love the flexibility of the Background & Texture Duos. Having both sides of the paper printed on is more "bang for your buck".

Dear God....

Dear  GOD:

I want to thank You for what you have already done.

I am not going to wait until I see results or receive rewards;

I am thanking you right now.

I am not going to wait until I feel better or things look better;

I am thanking you right now.

I am not going to wait until people say they are sorry or until they stop talking about
me;

I am thanking you right now.

I am not going to wait until the pain in my body disappears;

I am thanking you right now.

I am not going to wait until my financial situation improves;

I am going to thank you right now.

I am not going to wait until the children are asleep and the house is quiet;

I am going to thank you right now.

I am not going to wait until I get promoted at work or until I get the job;

I am going to thank you right now.

I am not going to wait until I understand every experience in my life that has caused me
pain or grief;

I am thanking you right now.

I am not going to wait until the journey gets easier or the challenges are removed;

I am thanking you right now.

I am thanking you because I am alive.

I am thanking you because I made it through the day's difficulties.

I am thanking you because I have walked around the obstacles.

I am thanking you because I have the ability and the opportunity to do more and do
better.

I'm thanking you because, Father, YOU haven't given up on me.

This set of 39 stamps is sooo versatile. The images are just outlines that you stamp on whatever paper you want. You can use B/T paper, Cardstock or a combination. Also there are tiny, little words include that you can wallpaper onto your image.

Woodinville Lacrosse has the Perfect Season

Dalton is the Keeper
Woodinville Falcons Lacrosse has had the perfect season this year with a 12-0 record. What is truely amazing is that this is only the 2nd year for the club. Originally we were apart of Northshore Lacrosse but when the club got too big they split it down school boundry lines. When this happened I think alot of us were like "The best players are on the other team." Man, were we wrong. This young team has worked hard together since February with alot of the guys working out in the off season to get stronger. It's amazing to see this team, that just last year had a record of very few wins, play so well together.
Friday May 13th we play in our 1st playoff game at Woodinville High School, 7pm. I'll let you know how it goes.
This layout was done at Studio J Boot Camp. I learned so many amazing things I'd love to share with you. Leave me a comment and I'll get back to you.
Blessings
Lisa

Here we go.....

I'm jumping into the deep end of the pool and starting a blog. I'm not sure that anyone will read it but after coming home from Studio J Boot Camp, with Close To My Heart, I felt like this was the next step in my journey with the company.
I have been with Close To My Heart for 15 years. I joined the company for the discount and fell in love with the products, the opportunities, and the people I have met. So many years later I'm still here stamping & scrapbooking, teaching classes and loving every minute of it.
I am committed to keeping up with this blog where I can share more than I can with my Close To My Heart website where you can online shop. As I learn all about the blogging world I ask that you be patient and can laugh along with me through my many (I'm sure there will be) mistakes.
I will post art work and other "stuff" just for the fun of it.
Please join me on my journey and as Betty Davis would say..."Hang on! It's going to be a bumpy ride!".
