Mom & Me Senior Tea

In the spring of your senior year at Cedar Park Christian there is a Mom & Me tea. It's a wonderful morning of honoring all the Mom's with yummy food and a heartfelt speech written by your child.

This is my year of getting to participate.

The Stella paper packet works great with my pictures. I wanted to highlight Dalton & I so I used some stitching to frame us. I added some little birds from the Stickease menu to fill in and add some whimsy. I removed one of the set text boxes so I could use a Stickease Quote in it's place.

I love how Studio J makes it so easy for me to pull together a layout while I am still able to be with my family and not shut away in my craft room.

Enjoy your day!

Mom, I'm Not #31 in Lacrosse

Okay, so I used the wrong jersey number on this layout. Dalton plays football and lacrosse & his jersey number has been any combination of the numbers 1 & 3. He has been #13, #3, #31...you get the idea!

So when I did this layout in Studio J I used the wrong #...so sue me! I still love the way I could incorporate the flourishes behind and on top of the matting.

I love the picture where he is flying at the kid in the round mat! Hard to make that perfect in traditional scrapbooking.

Proof Your Studio J Orders

So here is my Fearless kid, Dalton, taking on 3 players in a lacrosse game. He is so fun to watch play. Not one to stay in the goal, he is not afraid to take on...well, anyone!

Notice my border under the picture on the left hand page? Yep, I messed up and didn't get me Stickease all the way across like I wanted.

Lesson learned...proof your layouts closely.

I still love the layout! and the Kid!

Varsity Alphabet

                                            Created by Allie McCoy

Using the new Varsity Alphabet (E1023) and the Pure Adventure (C1497) stamp set, Allie has taken the Kraft Die-Cut card (z1474) to a new level.

I love all the layers and simple elements. It really makes the focal point stand out.

Life Is A Journey

Created by Allie McCoy

Using the new Die-Cut cards and the Victory paper packet this card uses a stamp set that is only $6.95! A Journey (A1127) is one of the new smaller stamp sets with a small price tag.

I love how Allie used cardstock and brads to create a closure for this card. Wrapping Chocolate Waxy Flax around the brads holds the flap of the card closed.

Black & White

Is this not an elegant card? I love it!! I received in a package of cards and just had to reproduce it for my workshops this weekend.

Using the Workshop on the Go for Pemberly, this stamp is so versatile.

Using just black & white cardstock, black ink and alittle sparkle.

Love it!!

A Bowwow is Cruisin'

I love this little dog!! Isn't he cute?!

I used the Cruisin' paper packet and Grey Wool, Twilight and Black cardstock.

Stamping the Scottie dog onto B/T paper with Black ink. Paper piecing the dog's collar with Juniper cs makes it pop. Also alittle liquid glass on his nose to give it some shine.

A Bowwow (A1126  $6.95) is a darling set of 5 stamps that include the thought cloud and sentiments.

Happy Easter

As we look forward to Easter this Sunday I thought I'd share a card I received at my unit meeting this last weekend. My friend, Christine David, blessed me with a packet of cards she had earned in a contest and inside the package was this cute card.

Did you notice the spring? Hilarious, right? This is a new product that CTMH carries in the Spring/Summer Idea Book. You receive 6 in a package for only $2.95. What a great deal.

My Peeps (B1402  $9.95) is a darling set of bunnies, eggs and sentiments.

Our Focus is on Dalton

When you have children all that you have is put into bringing them up in is crazy world to be productive people.

Duke & I feel like we did a pretty good job with Dalton. He is almost done with high school. He is off to West Point in July to start college. He has a good head on his shoulders. And he loves the Lord Jesus Christ....What more could we ask?

Small But Strong

Here's another layout from our photo shoot in January. Ann Chase Photography has a beautiful setting for pictures, especially outside shots. I love how Ann captured our family. You can see the love we have for each other and how we enjoy being together.

I love how Studio J resizes my pictures without having to do anything "fancy" with computer techie stuff. Since I'm horrible with technology, this works perfect for me!
