La Belle Vie

This set of National Swap items are by Janice Hodgkin. Using La Belle Vie papers I thought this card was beautiful.

A standard size card layered with La Belle Vie paper. Words of Comfort (C1524) stamp set is stamped directly onto the card stock which has been sprayed with the Spray pen (Z1380) and masked with hearts cut on the Cricut with the Artiste Cartridge. Jardin (D1528) stamp set is beautiful at the bottom of the card stock stamped in Smokey Plum ink (Z2147).

Just Blooms Flutter (Z1463) is sponged and blinged up with  Clear Sparkles (Z1752).

Enjoy your day!

Yee-Haw!!

Using a Kraft Die-Cut 6x6 Square card (Z1474) and the Dakota Workshop On The Go (G1047) this card makes me smile.

I love how the Burlap ribbon (Z1760) is so versatile. Did you know that you can stamp on it? Using the CTMH Pacifica Ink (Z2192) directly onto ribbon works great and gives the ribbon one more level of texture.

Add in a little bling with Brown & Tan Sparkles (Z1753) and you have a card anyone would love to get.

Enjoy your day!

Dakota Gift Card Holder

Isn't this cute? I made this on the Cricut with the Artiste Cartridge. My friend, Carla, showed this to us at our last unit meeting using Clementine. Since I'm using Dakota this weekend with my card workshops, I changed the paper & design on the front.

I wanted to show you how I made the bow under the sentiment.
I took a 4-5" piece of the Black Toile, gathered the center and
tied it with some Baker's Twine. I used a Glue dot to adhere it to
the card.

Here's the inside of the Gift Card Holder.

The front of the card is again using the Artiste cartridge to cut out the Perfect Frame stamp set (D1527) stamped in Black ink. Then the Glitz Glitter Almond brings a little sparkle to finish it off.

Dakota Birthday Wishes

I love the use of the Dakota Workshop On The Go and the Complements Foil Images. You can kinda see the glimmer on the barb wire image used as a border. A Durable Round Stud is used in the center of the star to give more texture and dimension.

Enjoy your day!'

Dakota Layout

Here comes another set of National Swap items using Dakota. This group of items are made by ??

I love how the tags come out of the pocket for journaling or small pictures and/or memorabilia. The pearl in the middle of the star adds just enough bling.

Happy Birthday To Me!!

Not to toot my own horn BUT it's my birthday! I've always enjoyed my birthday because my husband would spoil me rotten. We would celebrate for a week or more. Boy! was he a good sport. So spending this year without him for the first time is difficult. I decided a change of scenery was in order, so I'm in Arizona with my Mom! A little sun, a little pool time and sightseeing is on the agenda.

Since I'm out of town I decided to offer you a little gift to celebrate with me. If you place an online order any time during the week of January 14-19th, I will gift you for FREE any stamp set ( size A, B, C, D ) of your choice. Just email me your choice and it will be shipped separately to you when I get home. Now you can celebrate too!

Enjoy your day!!

Avonlea Box

Really cute, huh?! Yeah, I agree. Made by Michelle Johns, this box uses the Avonlea paper cut on the Cricut with the  Artiste cartridge. The roses are also cut on the Cricut with the Artiste cartridge.

Close To My Heart makes crafty easier with the use of the Cricut. And think of all the money you will save by making your own box, bags and other 3-D items.

Notice the bling in the roses and around? Bitty pearls and Sparkles adorn the roses making the top of this box fantastic!!

Enjoy your day!

One Eyed Avonlea Circle Card

I received this card in my National swaps awhile back. Created by Michelle Johns, this creative take on a circle card is hilarious. I would have never thought of a "One Eyed Monster" card, that's why I love to partake in this swap though it's alot of work.

Avonlea paper, the Cricut Artiste and Art Philosophy cartridges were used. Some Olive Twine is used to hang the banner from.

Thinking of You with Avonlea

>
I love the layers on this standard size card. Using Avonlea paper this card by Michelle Johns uses Every Occasion and Love Blooms stamp sets.

Sometimes it is nice to use a subtle color like Slate ink that is used for the rose. Then a bold Archival black ink is used for the sentiment.

The black ribbon is from Black Mini Medley and the bling pin if from Bling Button Assortment.

The decorative layer is cut using the Cricut Artiste cartridge.

Enjoy your day!

New Year's Resolution

Originally from Mikey's Funnies this says it all....

NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS YOU CAN KEEP

Are you sick of making the same resolutions year after year that you never keep? Why not
promise to do something you can ACTUALLY accomplish?

Here are some resolutions that you can use as a starting point:

~ Gain weight. At least 30 pounds.
~ Stop exercising. Waste of time.
~ Read less. Makes you think.
~ Watch more TV. I've been missing some good stuff.
~ Procrastinate more. Starting tomorrow.
~ Spend more time at work, surfing the web.
~ Take a vacation to someplace important, like to see the world's largest ball of twine.
~ Don't jump off a cliff just because everyone else did.
~ Stop bringing lunch from home--eat out more.
~ Don't have eight children at once.
~ Get in a whole NEW rut!
~ Start being superstitious.
~ Personal goal: Don't bring back disco.
~ Speak in a monotone voice and only use monosyllabic words.
~ Only wear jeans that are 2 sizes too small and use a chain or rope for a belt.
~ Spend my summer vacation in cyberspace.
~ Create loose ends.
~ Get more toys.
~ Get further in debt.
~ Don't believe politicians.
~ Break at least one traffic law.
~ Don't drive a motorized vehicle across thin ice.
~ Don't swim with piranhas or sharks.
~ Spread out priorities beyond the ability to keep track of them.
~ Wait for opportunity to knock.
~ Focus on the faults of others.
~ Mope about faults.
~ Never make New Year's resolutions again.

Enjoy your day!

A New Year

A 6 year old and a 4 year old are raking the yard.

The 6 year old asks, "You know what?
I think it's about time we started learning to
cuss." The 4 year old nods his head in approval.

The 6 year old continues,

"When we go in for breakfast, I'm gonna say something with hell and you say something with ass."

The 4 year old agrees with enthusiasm.

When the mother walks into the
kitchen and asks the 6 year old what he wants for breakfast,
he replies, "Aw, hell, Mom, I guess I'll have some Cheerios.

WHACK !

He flies out of his chair, tumbles
across the kitchen floor, gets up, and runs upstairs crying
his eyes out, with his mother in hot pursuit, slapping his
rear with every step.

His mom locks him in his room and shouts, "You can stay there until I let you out !"

She then comes back downstairs,
looks at the 4 year old and asks with a stern voice, "And
what do YOU want for breakfast, young man ?"

"I don't know," he blubbers, "but you can bet your ass it won't be Cheerios !"

PASS THIS ON ONLY IF YOU LAUGHED !!!

I'm baaaack! Sorry I've been MIA for so long. I am going to try to start the new year off with getting back into posting. I thought we should start the year with a funny. This made me howl! I hope you aren't offended!
I hope you will join me this year with new art work, inspirational thoughts and giving thanks for the blessings we all receive.
Enjoy your day!
